Wow, Chinese New Year is here already. Fast.

Well, I am enjoying myself. So, I wish everyone a blessed Chinese New Year.

Mooncake Making

I’m writing again on another past event to continue on with my story craze. You would know about this “story craze” if you have read the previous posts. This event happened during the mooncake festival and I had not enough time to write about it as I had to prepare for the upcoming final exams.

The gist of the story is that my mom agreed to help me make mooncakes since we haven’t made them for quite some time. So my mom took care of the filling and I just moulded the shape of the mooncake or Ping Pei (snow skin) mooncakes. Was it tasty?? Well, it depends on your taste; I did give some to my friends and most of them loved it. =D Here are some photos:

My Chinese New Year : A Photo Essay

I have finally written this post which I have worked on for a long time. Have fun reading. I hope it brings happy memories of YOUR Chinese New Year back.

Chinese New Year Eve

My family and I had a wonderful Chinese New Year Eve dinner with my father side relatives at The Waterlily, a Balinese Bistro. Above is the lamb chop I ordered, very different from the traditional Chinese food we used to have in the past CNYs.

First day

In the morning we went to Full Gospel Tabernacle.This is where I took this picture:

Then, My family met up again with My father's side relatives. I'm so sorry I am not showing photos of my relatives, but this is for their own privacy. So here is my place at the restaurant. If you zoom in you might be able to see the name of the restaurant:

Next we went to my granduncle's house. Here is the table ladened with sweets, cookies and other titbits:

At night, we went to my grand mother's (mother side) house. This is where I finally, FINALLY, learn how to fold a paper box. however, I think by now I have forgotten how. NO!! Here it is:

Second Day

The next morning, my family and I went out with my aunt to window-shop at Ikea. Here are some photos of the furnitures I like.

Third day

The next day, My brother, sister, aunt and I window shopped at Sunway Pyramid. Here are some random shots:

Fifth Day

There was some lion dance that was going to happen at Subang Parade. But we left before they started.

We also visited one of my mother's sisters before we left for Seremban in the evening. Below is my ang pow and misai kucing, a kind of tea. It tasted like water. I think i liked it...or maybe I was just thirsty.

Alright, this about all of my CNY. The other ten days were spent mostly at home. Well, there was another dinner with my mother's side relatives, but I didn't have any camera with me unless you count my brother's one which I held for less than 7 minutes.

Anyway, I hope you too had a lovely and enjoyable Chinese New Year. I know it is late to say this so I hope you will understand.

Desperate to Communicate with The Reader

I really want to share with you about my CNY experiences and joy. About the red packets I receive, the relatives I met. I want to show you the photos of my realtives, of my cousins and a few of my cute nephews.

I am so desperate I keep on ruffling my hair (not pulling them out, so I am not THAT desperate). I am sure you are curious about what is going on now, but please be patient. I am currently in my hometown which is about 60 km from my PC at home. So, I will upload my photos at HOME and then blog it! SIMPLE!=D

Happy Chinese New Year and I hope that you will enjoy the remaining days of CNY especially to studying readers. Because I am very sure that after the CNY holidays, we will be straining our bodies to study.

Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day 2010

"Happy happy CNY, happy happy you and I!" That's the only lyrics in a Chinese song on television I remember and I mumble it to myself everyday.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and honestly, I can't wait to get my hands on some money! But please don't rob me. I believe this CNY will be the same as the last. Dinners, am paos, family and friends coming together, joy and happiness everywhere! But the sad thing is that the weather is SO hot! Normal whether during CNY is already hot, and now with global warming the weather is close to unbearable. I am now challenging myself not to turn on the air-conditioner the whole of the CNY week. I already did once, but no more for me!

Actually, I have a bad feeling about this peace and prosperity thing in CNY, no offence. Well, it just reminds me of those false teachers who always preach about this p&p thing. Why am I suddenly writing about this stuff?? Because I am reading a book of the Apocalypse horsemen. Yes, it is about the end times. It says that there will false teachers who will be preaching about "peace and prosperity". So, if you come across any weird teachings that are related to this, be on your guard. I think all preachers should pray before they speak, privately or publicly. How do I know this book is something I can rely on? Because it doesn't give me what I want to hear, no sweet talk. Just like your parents scoldings, it is not what you want to hear but it is good for you.

Alright back to CNY. So, here's wishing you Happy Chinese New Year to all people of all races. May God bless you and protect you!
