A Kick in The Butt

I got one slap in the face when I received my maths test paper today. 73%.
Ouch. What made it worse was the amount of people getting 90% and higher. There were three people who got full marks. So, of course I feel bad. I know I could have done better.

I like maths and science and used to be very good in them. Maybe I loosen up these few days but now I have realized that I shouldn't do that anymore. No more slacking for me. I need as much 'A's as possible in this year's PMR. Need to go science stream.

In tuition today, teacher was like talking about physiological stuff and said studying doesn't need a quite and clean environment. You just need concentration and everything that you read will enter your head. By the way, speaking of brains, I used to look down at this organ, usually comparing it with the computer. What I found out is that the human brain is in a class of it's own. It is probably more than 10 times faster than any microprocessor in today's world. I'm sorry God, for undermining your work and creation. Sigh.

Anyway, my teacher told us that he used to be very playful, but when it came to the classroom, he would focus 100% so that after class he could just throw away his books and go and play without a worry because he had all the information in his head. And he prooved to his friends that he could get good results with that method by getting a a straight As in Diploma. Awesome, right? Well, if he can do that, why not we? Maybe not to the degree of throwing our books =) away but why not we concentrate in class so that when we revise it'll be a piece of banana cake. MUNCH.

Suck-a-Punch

Finally it's out. It was officially in Malaysian cinemas on march 24th but I had no time to watch it cause I was stuck in middle of my exams. Now, that my examinations are over, I'm dying to watch suckerpunch. I don't care what the review says-who cares if the storyline is bad? There's so much action and adventure you won't notice it. At least the trailer is awesome.
Ha-Ciao.

Shrinking and Expanding or Just Growing

I'm going for CF camp tomorrow so I'll leave you to read this post while I'm gone. I'm super rushing now cause I have to wake up 5 am tomorrow.
I recently had trouble fitting into my jogging shoes. So I'm writing this short story about the feeling everyone goes through when they can't fit into their favourite clothes or gear. Oh, and I dedicate this to Ara, for encouraging me and just for fun.

The steady thumps of his footsteps were muffled by the fallen leaves strewn all across the forest floor. It was mushroom season. And as a tradition in his family everyone had to go and pick as many edible mushrooms in the Lickle Forest. The mushrooms would then be cooked over a roaring fire and served as a feast.

He grumbled silently to himself. Who cares about mushrooms and traditions. All this time he could be doing more profitable things like video taping birds in the sky. He gingerly splash across a stream. Now his shoes was stained. His favourite shoes which were woven from scratch by his beloved grandmother. Mushrooms, mushrooms and mushrooms. Stupid umbrella shaped -Was that a crunchycornyshroom?

The purplish green mushroom was rarely spotted in the area and some say it had magical powers that could do who knows what. And there it was, lying just beside a clump of bamboo plants. There were a few tapioca plants nearby, too. If he managed to dig out the tubers, his family was in for a feast like no other. Anyway, the crunchy-something-shroom stood there harmless and beautiful.

He tiptoed nearer and touched it. Murderous pain burned every single cell in him and his clothes started to rip. His shoes were disintegrated. His gloves lay in shreds on the damp ground. He was now taller than the trees. He could just make out his mother sitting idly beside the barbecue pit where the mushrooms were suppose to be roasted. Suddenly, his body stopped expanding. He was probably thousands of feet tall. Shoes, clothes everything all thorn. Well, at least he had a nice birds eye view from up here.

Yea I know it's lame, but I'm in a rush you see. So enjoy reading and have a good hols.

March events

This is becoming boring, isn't it? exams over and over again.
But just to inform you, a monthly exam is coming up very soon. 23-25march.
I don't feel anything. It's just another exam anyway. I'm just gonna see how much I've learnt, that's all. Hehe.
Volleyball competition is coming but my team's not in because we lack team members. So these few days, I would be asking everybody..."do you wanttojoin volllleeyball?"
Mr Wong, our principal, retired on Wednesday. There were quite a lot of teary faces but to summarize the entire experience-it was a once in a lifetime experience. It's not everyday, your principal retires. Mr Wong, in my opinion, is a responsible person. He cares for his students very much. However, there is much criticism that happens behinds his back. I hope most of them are not true. I admit that I also had small prejudices towards Mr Wong. But I believe that despite some of his weaknesses, he tried his best to keep the school in order. Anyhow, I thank you Mr Wong for your contributions to our school. Oh, and happy birthday.

Speaking of birthdays, there have been many birthdays the past few weeks. To anyone who is celebrating your birthday this month-Happy birthday.
