Well, it was scheduled that we were going to have volleyball practice at 3.30 pm. But just before 3.25 pm. it started to drizzle. Then it stopped. Started drizzling again. Stop. Then...BOOM. A thunderstorm wrecked havoc on the unsuspecting hopes of the vball club members. That was only the beginning of our gloomy day.
Well, we still had a meeting, with teacher telling the new members all the basics. Jokes. And the rained just got worst. Yea, I did hear about the meteorology department predicting rainstorms throughout the whole Chinese new year season. And that's terrible for sports. But awesome for sleeping.
Anyway, we finally decided to play indoors. As in indoors we meant the badminton court. But that's what we do when we're desperate, no? Actually, only then I realized that the badminton is SMALL compared to the gargantuan volleyball court.
If I'm gonna build an indoor volleyball court, I'll make sure it will be as wide as a football field, maybe two... And the ceiling will be as tall as a triple-storey building. A badminton court is WAY to small for volleyball. We broke a light bulb in the heat of the game. Well, one of the newbies was returning an "out" shot and I think he thought the volleyball was some kind of basketball cause he gave his brute force and it flew...........and hit the bulb. But I don't blame him. The court was way too small for vball and the ball was just pumped. I guess his dad would be a few bucks poorer by now...
Anyway, the teacher actually told us before the game started that she was not responsible of any casualties. So, she kinda asked us to replace the light bulb as soon as possible. Ha-ha. our fault.
