Merdeka

Today is my country's 53rd Merdeka Day (Independence Day).

I'm very thankful to God because our country has stayed peaceful without war. I know there are many crimes and disagreements happening all around us. Even among the leaders there are traces of corruption. But I'm trying to be as positive as I can so don't think I am just relaxing in my house unaware of the things happening.

Malaysians are blessed though. We have all we need. Food. Places to stay. Medication.

We are not perfect, but we are better off than many. So, it is good to be positive.

Yes, I agree that there is a enormous space for improvement. The students in my class get along pretty well without any racism. However, the newspaper says otherwise. Murder, human trafficking, corruption, assassination, robbery, and the latest-baby dumping.

So, the conclusion is, whatever the state we are in, there is always somewhere we can improve on. Malaysians must stick together for a better future (this sounds familiar).

On a different subject, the school holidays are near. This is already the last week before we are free. On the negative side, the holidays are only for a week...

Anyway, I am still looking forward to that lovely break ahead. Hope it is the same with you guys. =D

So, Happy Merdeka and enjoy the holidays!
